Answer: I did, by accident..I kinda like this guy in College, he was an electronic major...I was pre-med...well..I had wanted to be close to him..so I sign up just for the heck of it...only 3 girls in the class...and I got an A and loved it...I graduated with honors and the best part I married him...double whammo!! I love it, I'm good at it...I'm the repair man where ever I go and visited...I gotta fix something...but I'm constantly still taking classes 'cuz you're never done! the best part is ..since I'm a female..I make as much money as a man does...

Question: What kind of electronics can I use on an airplane?
When the flight attendant say, "You may now use your electronics," what kind of electronics can I use? Can I use a phone? If I had an iPhone, could I be able to use the internet or something? And why aren't you allowed to use electronics sometimes when you fly on a plane anyway?

Question: What type of Electronics Engineering job will take me to different places around the globe?
I am an electronics engineer working in the Philippines. My current job as a design verification engineer is already boring me to death. I love to travel. I want to combine both because I think it's my ideal job. Is there such an engineering job that will grant me trips to different countries (besides sales)?

Answer: Aviation electronics might get you around a bit more.
Or for excitement, one of those guys who change the red lightbulbs on top of tall antenna towers.

Question: Have you had problems with your electronics after moving into an old home with no grounds?
I've always looked at the grounds as protecting people from hot appliances when grounds fault but it seems a lot of people think the grounds are there to protect electronics...

Has anyone had issues with their electronics after moving into an old home with no grounds? I've lived in such a home before and never had an issue but I am preparing to move into a new one and am doing some new research.

Answer: Transmission electronics is greatly dependent on a good ground, such as HAM radio or other two way communications. The older cordless phones were notorious for poor reception if the ground was bad.
Today, the power supply feeding your computer is not as sensitive as your older HiFi equipment.

For safety sake, check your ground and install a GFIC near sinks.

Question: How to fix a car electronics after shorting the battery?
My pops replaced an alternator for my Nissan Altima ('2001 GXE) yesterday and forgot to disconnect my battery before starting the procedure. Now the car electronics are dead. The car runs when I turn the ignition and drives alright (though the engine block vibrates alot more than we started. . . probably because the tensioner is not set to the correct length), but the dashboard, horn etc etc do not work. Does this mean that I just need to replace my fuses? Or is there more damage done than before installing the alternator? I am going to go to the parts store later today. Please advise.

My father and I looked into the car yesterday and found that it wasn't the Fuse box right next to the battery that was dead, it was the Fuse-able box that was dead. So right now, the radiator fans, anti-theft, air conditioning, power windows etc etc are the only ones that are not working.

Answer: only way of telling is to check it out look at all your fuses you can try an reset everything by disconnecting -ground cable for a few minutes

I'm thinking of a gift to give to a male friend. What type of electronics are popular today and what do they like to have or want in a gift?

Answer: iPods, Blue Tooth Headsets for Cell Phone or PS3, Wii, PS3, xBox360, Nintendo DS, the games that go with these systems. DVD players, MP3 players, iTunes gift cards if they have an iPod already. Compact Digital Cameras, I personally like the Olympus Stylus Series because they are weather proof. They like the latest in technology.

Answer: People love the Nintendo Wii... The best gadget i have is my Garmin GPS. It helps you out so much. Not only does it help you find your way around, but it also includes phone numbers to almost any business and you can search for any thing close to you (restaurants, fuel, airports, malls, libraries, etc.). They have maps of Europe as well that you can purchase, so you could use it where you live too.

Question: Trouble with electronic gifts!!?
I need a electronic gift idea that is not too outrageously expensive.......I already have an ipod, camera, cellphone, laptop etc. Is there any other kind of electronic idea that is pretty cool out that isn't too expensive?

Answer: Nintendo DS - handheld games console. Seriously, it's fantastic. I'm not a huge console fan but this is excellent.

Question: What electronic gift do I get a 12 year old girl for Christmas?
She loves music but has an MP3 player, she's happy with her Gameboy Advance, cell phone is out of the question (per the parents), has tv, etc. in her room, any other ideas???

Answer: You could get her a game called "Dream Life". You plug it right into the tv and it has its own remote and its perfect for 10 year olds and older, much older. Im 16 and i enjoy playing it (lol). I have one and i love it. Its like you do chores and go to school, but you can still have fun and go to the mall and have a job. It teaches responsibility because if you dont go to school it reprimands you for that day. Its so much fun. I think she would enjoy it.

Answer: i would say an ipod. do i have to say nano vs video ipod? they had the supply and even the stores had a separate line for ipod purchases.
