A: You do this from the tools>options menu in limewire
There is a section for sharing and itunes, there is a little box that need unchecking, Not sure where exactly right now as I'm not at a PC with limewire.

Go into iTunes->Preferences->Sharing and turn off the discovery of other people'.music.

A: You did not even mention what kind of mac you have, but once you figure that out, you can search the internet for a walk through on how to disassemble it. You should only have to do a partial disassembly to get the busted piece out.

I am currently using sketchup from windows xp and am wondering how will I able to open my file to apple mac? That is opening my file to apple mac?

A: I have just checked out sketchup and it seems that they do a version for the mac therefore it is probably a safe bet to say that any files saved in windows can be opened and edited in a mac however if they ship as seperate programs ie both xp and mac don't reside on the same cd then you will probably have to buy the mac version however if both are shipped on the same cd then you shouldn't have any problems installing the program on a mac.

I am looking to buy the mac book pro after apple comes out with their new operating system. I see that Best Buy and Apple currently sell the other macs for the same price. Are there any cons with buying a Mac @ Best Buy? Would I not be able to take it to an Apple store for service? Any other things I should think about before buying? Thanks!
A: Wherever you buy your Mac from it is still covered by the Apple warranty which is normally one year. You can buy an extended plan, which is recommended by many people, best buy probably offer some kind of extended warranty as well. Just shop around for the best deal.

A: As long as the USB stick was first used on Windows, not a problem.
If both computers are on the same wireless or ethernet network you can easily enable file sharing between them.

A: Go into the system preferences, choose 'speech', choose 'text to speech' and make sure that all of the checkboxes are unchecked.

A: On their website, they have refurbished macs that are a little cheaper.
if you're a student, you can get a discount at the apple store.
I don't think they stock prior models, so you might want to check online on sites such as ebay for good deal.

Hi guys, quick Q/A on the situation on with our computer industry. Studies reveal that Apple Macs are going to surpass Windows PC's in the next 10 years, if they was someone to show you how to do everything on a Mac including running Mac OS X and Windows, would you make the switch. If not, how so?
A: I've been a Mac user since 2000 when I started on Mac OS 9.2.2
I'm currently on 10.4
Apple is moving into the industry from the bottom up ie from incoming college grads who use Macs.
Macs already exist in the design and print and creative and TV production fields which also happen to be mixed environments with PCs.
Learning how to do "everyday" stuff on a Mac takes about as long as moving from XP to Vista. It is NOT as different as PC users make out.
Apple is making great inroads and will continue to do so over the coming years as people adopt to using iPhones in business and demand that MS IT types incorporate the iPhone and the IMAP protocols which already exist in the corporate network. Many execs and journos are already using Macs and enjoying the security and ease of use benefits that come with the Mac OS platform.
Along with Bootcamp and VMWare or Parallels, Macs can run Windows better than PCs can which means you can run multiple platforms and applications off one machine thus catering for Mac or PC users (Macs also use PC keyboards and mice) without having to buy additional PC hardware.
Leopard will be even more seamless on the PC front when it is released at the end of the month.

A: Oddly enough there isn't anything for that out of the box. You can do many much more sophisticated multimedia stuff like orchestrate music or produce movies and burn DVD's, but not just a simple song edit. And no Garage Band won't edit a song either. iTune can edit songs by lopping off the beginning or end of a song, but that's all. The cheapest 2 ways are either to upgrade QuickTime to Pro, or get Rogue Amoeba's Fission. I use Fission myself and for $32 it's quite a nice audio editor with some nice features in it. As for producing a CD once you've edited the music just use iTunes by arranging it all in a playlist and burning it.
Rogue Amoeba makes some really innovative and inexpensive software. All their stuff is a free download to try it out first to see how you like it. Hijack Pro is another cool app they make that's great for all sorts of recording applications.

Can you use a regular LCD HP Monitor with a APPLE MAC Laptop? I have a very nice 24" LCD monitor that I use with my regular laptop, but I wasn't sure if you had to buy an Apple monitor for a Mac laptop or if the connections are all the same? Thanks for your help!
A: yes.... there is one slot behind the laptop that fits the monitors plug... dont be afraid it will not go sky booom....
