A: The 2nd gen has volume buttons and speakers. Also the 2nd gen can't be jailbroken as of now.

A: no, ipods only work through itunes. itunes is free to download, why woulden't you use itunes. =]

A: i would get a charger that is compatible with the country your going to. and a USB that can connect with the computers (if it cant aready.)

A: You can. Simply drag the music in iTunes to the desired location. If you want to take music off the iPod, and the iPod is not synced to your computer, you need some additional tools in order to be able to do so. Google them up to find them. Make sure that the music you are spending so much effort getting off of the iPod has no DRM on it, else you may find that you’ve just wasted that time, because DRM’d music can’t be played on other computers anyway. Which Mp3 Player is better the Creative Zen Vision W 30 GB or the Apple Ipod Touch 8 GB? Knowing that they are both at the same price. Creative has 30 GB hard disk and outter speakers while the Apple Touch has 8 GB and Wi Fi web browser feature available. Totally Lost...!

A: Creative makes better mp3 players than apple. actually, pretty much everything is better than apple. anyways, the zen has a lot more storage room. 30 G = 15,000 songs. 8 G= 2000 songs. I would be afraid that the touch screen would wear out over time. I know a lot of people who have had creative mp3 players for about a year now and no problems with them.

A: No, there is no monthly service charge for internet access. However, it uses WLANs, so you have to use your own or a open network to get internet access, and that costs money. But there is no monthly charge for the iPod Touch.

A: try putting your ipod in recovery mode and trying to install it again. to put it in recovery mode, hold the top and the home button for about 10 seconds untill the screen flashes.

A: I'd get an ipod touch if you can live with 8 gb. Actually, who would use more than that for music? I can see if you want more space for videos, but you only put the music YOU actually listen to, NOT whole albums! I also own a zune 30 and have used a zune 80. I might sell my zune on ebay because I really dont think its that good. I don't like apple's dominance, but if it "works", then i'm not one to complain. Life is too short anyway. Here's why i'd get an ipod touch over a zune 80: *Memory Type -Flash memory is more durable than hard drive memory. Plus its quicker too and you can jog with it w/o breaking it. This means it will last MUCH longer if you take good care of it *Battery Life -Slightly higher than zune 80 *Screen -.3 in larger than zune 80. It really makes the diffrence! *Screen Resolution -Much higher video resolution than zune. Videos, photos, and album art will look better! With a zune, its blindingly obvious that EVERY video is "fuzzy". A: Apple does not allow installation of the Adobe Flash Player on iPhone/iPod touch. Until Apple stops being so anal about third-party content, you will have to enjoy the web without it, or use a work-around. The best work-around if you want to install whatever you want is to "jailbreak" your phone (think of it as cracking the block that prevents users to do what they want). Google for instructions on how to do this. Not sure how nice it will run Piknik though. I did however find a solution that should allow you to see at least Flash video without jailbreaking the Phone. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=321ueOiBw7s I have not tried this, so I can't vouch for it. Google for more solutions if it doesn't work. PS: Image editing is still best left to a "proper" computer ;)

A: I am sure they will. There are many people like you who need alternate colors, and whenever there is a market, Apple will only be too happy to take advantage of this commercial opportunity.

if i buy an ipod touch off of ebay and it says the warranty is still good for 200+ days, if it breaks will apple replace it for free?

A: not if it breaks, but if it has a manufacturing problem, like it the system locks up and stops working completely and you didn't jailbreak it (or basically void the warranty by modifying the ipod software)
