Q: New Philips cordless phone...?I need a new cordless...please hlep ?
I recently purchased a new cordless phone because the Uniden phones I had before always had static and you couldn't hear anything on them. Now the Philips phones that I bought (which were like $80 for 2) don't even work. I can hear the other party but they can't even hear me at all--all they hear is static. What is the best brand of cordless phone to buy that actually works.
A: 1) Check your phone line for static with a wired phone. If there's static on the line you can't eliminate it by using a cordless phone.
2) Test by standing right next to the base station. If you still get static it's either on the phone line, the phone system (base or handset) is bad or you have really bad interference.
3) How far from the base station are you using the handset? (The range might be less than you're trying to get.) Anything that can be causing interference near the base? Microwave oven? Computer wireless router? Other electronic equipment?
Tracing static can be a lot of work, but you have to find out what's causing the static before you can know how to eliminate it. If it's not caused by the phone system, changing the phone system won't fix it.
I've used Panasonic, Uniden, Radio Shack - with no problem. And I've had problems with Panasonic, Uniden and Radio Shack. The environment made the difference.

Q: Philips cordless cd245 duo phone problem? The phone keeps stating its "searching" for what i don't know?? Help
I don't have the manual...can't find it online either....someone put me out my misery. Will not receive calls either and certainly can't make them.
Thank you but i tried that , you put it on the base and it still states "searching"
A: It sounds like the handset and base lost their communication and need to get back in sync with each other.
I used to work for Lucent Technologies as a CSR for troubleshooting landline phone equipment and my parents recently had the same problem.
Here's your solution:
(I can't remember the exact sequence but let's give this a try):
Disconnect the base from the electrical outlet and the phone jack; disconnect the battery from the handset (yes actually remove the battery) and wait about 3 minutes. Then reconnect everything, put the handset on the base and wait about 5 minutes.
This should do the trick.
If this doesn't do the trick, you may need a new battery in the handset.
Best of luck.

Q: Why does Philips CD4452B/37 DECT 6.0 phone shows "Ext. Call" on incoming call instead of calling number
I have a dual philips CD4452B/37 DECT 6.0 cordless phone set and the problem is that both the phones show on the screen "Ext. Call" in an incoming call instead of the caller's name or number. The service is on from my provider as it works on other sets if installed on the same line. I bought the phone from U.S. and my country of use is India and the phone doesnt give me the option to change country so i guess the number format could also be the reason. Any help is greatly appreciated??
A: It's probably the number format...

Q: Cordless phones do not work for me?
Hi
I have tried two different digital phones Philips and BT. Both give a very inferiour reception to my corded phone. It seems it is due to the place I need to use them, located close to a computer and a radiator. I would like to revert to a non digital phone but would prefer a mobile handset. Do you know of any one who can supply one?
Thanks John
A: bt do mobiles and if you ring 100 theyll tellya. also u can charge your calls to your bt phone bill. or carpone warehouse have monthly deals.
Q: Do you have a cordless phone? Can you help me?
I need to buy a cordless phone and I'd like that it did not have no echo or noise and also did not cause interference. Which would you recommend to me?
*** If somebody will have theses telephones: CD1401B (Philips), KX-TG6025LBM (Panasonic) or similar, and CD2402S (Philips), please, tell me about them or if they have some problem of echo or noise.
*** A cordless phone, with Caller ID, cheap...
A: one of the best phone out there are the DECT 6.0 Panasonic!!!
http://www.101phones.com/cat/1921/New-DECT-6-Cordless-Phones.html
the base-phone has a build-in router.firewall.....then you can add extensions as you have more money to pay for it!
you don't need any phone jacks for the extensors, just an electrical outlet for the power-supply.....I like that!!
and the batteries last forever...
Q: Will a uk cordless phone work in Spain?
For example the Philips Onis 300 Vox Duo Digital
A: yes
Q: Best Cordless headphones?
I need a pair of cordless headphones to replace a worn out pair. Advice on best type for sound quality, bass & treble response, best make etc welcome. Also, what difference does open type or closed type make to audio quality? Since you would expect closed type to exclude more noise from entering your sound space and also stop headphone noise escaping to annoy others, what exactly is the benefit to open type phones?
Looking at Sennheiser RS130, Philips SHC8525 as examples of open/closed types so choice is between these unless someone has a better suggestion? Any advice welcome. Phones wanted for general music listening, podcast listening, TV listening but must be wireless because I listen while working and moving around.
A: I'd advise you to go for any Sennheiser product.
Take a look at the Sony MDR series as well .
