Q: What are the HD inputs on a 2006 Philips LCD Flat TV?
I can only find one HDMI socket which Sky HD is already using. How can i get my PS3 signal in? Will any of the scart inputs work for HD? Am i missing other HDMI inputs? Thanks I have Sky HD and that is using a HDMI input, but i can't believe that is the only HD input on a HD TV. How can i get my PS3 signal in at the same time on the Philips TV?

A: You need to use the Scart sockets. forget about HD unless you have a HD box/decoder from SKY

i got a new philips flat tv and it was working fine.then i had a party and when they left my video worked fine,my dvd worked fine,my nintendo wii worked fine, but my cable has no life! the cable box has the channel on it and looks fine but there is no sound or picture!

A: mine has to be on channel four on the tele in one room and channel three upstairs. dont ask me why. i did it and it cleared up and works fine. you have to adjust the tv channel not the cable box one

Q: Philips Flat TV and Surround Sound?
I have a Thomson DVD player (with Home Theater System) hooked up to my TV. Movies sound fantastic; however, if I want to watch TV, the Surround Sound doesn't work (I have to listen to the TV with the TV speakers). How do I get sound out of my speakers for TV shows?

A: Look for Audio Output jacks in the back of your TV and connect these to any available audio input on your surround sound receiver.Select this input on the receiver and use the Mode switch to select the mode that pleases you the most. If you use a cable or satellite box,buy a pair of audio "Y" adapters instead and connect your surround sound to these instead.

Q: How much will it cost to repair my Philips Flat screen plasma 42" TV to get rid of 3 inch vertical stripes?

A: hey if it is out in warranty so bad,,,cause it sound the main ICs of your television is bein busted,,about fuse box its not.if not cannot be fix with a proofesional technician there u must buy new but diff, brand try sony...im not indorsing it...just keep a try....i used it and no prob at all.

Q: My Philips Plasma Flat TV screen has gone black with sound.?
The TV worked fine at night. In the morning there was no picture, but there was sound. I have checked the cable connections (we have cable on our other TV), and I have trying changing the settings from our remote as suggested in our owners manual. No solution, although we have now lost the sound after pushing different buttons. Is our screen just burnt out? The TV is over 2 years old.

A: you should of stuck with samsung, panasonic and pioneer for plasma. maybe even lg or toshiba.

A: If it has the HDMI input on the model then I would take it back if it's not letting you plug it in. Before you take it back you should make sure you're using the correct cable and know what the input look's like. A: It will not recieve the frequencies used in the USA....best to sell it and buy a new one when you get back....The Weird thing is your TV has a rather "American-Looking" model number... IS it possible your TV recieved channels generated from USA TV stations located at your Base of operations??? If so, just get an adaptor....my friend was stationed in Germany, and he didn't bring back his TV, but his stereo....he did bring that back

I had the tv changed to the above flat panel [Philips 32" DVB], and for almost 6 months now, I have tried to effect a connection of the ps2 console but will just not work !!! I guess there is something I am doing wrongly. I have made use of the scart plugs...no way. Is there any special channel I need to tune the tv to, and whatever I need to do please. Thanks for your advice. PS The PS2 was working quite well with the old toshiba replaced. Thanks.

A: there is no hd cable for the ps2. when using the av to scart connection, there is no need to tune in the channals, as all you have to do is press the av button on your remote control ( if it doesn't have one press the UP channel until you get to it ) wg

I have tried plugging in my portable hard drive (Western Digital Passport Drive) and it recognizes the folders but not the media files. Does anyone know if there is a special kind of codec for playing media files on the TV's or if there is a conversion program to make the media files compatible?
