I have been looking into this item and I notice they have quite a bit of different models. I was wonder what was the best of these models. Also what are the specs of all the models.

Q: Is the Samsung Q1 Ultra Mobile PC a good laptop?
A friend of mine is selling theirs for 700$ because they got a new laptop. I've heard bad and I have heard good. I want it to edit pictures and to write essays and other homework for school. Would this be a good laptop for that? Could I get a decent keyboard for it? Does it have a good tablet? My price range is 500-700$ are there any better tablet laptop for what I need that I could get used in that range?

A: its a good tablet pc because it even has a fingerprint scanner, decent memory for a tablet pc, built in webcam and its glossy. But unless your a road runner and have lots of extra batteries i don't reccomend it.

Can anyone tell,i have been recently offered this gadget(Samsung Q1) on redemption price but before i decide to buy ,if anyone of you have it.can you tell me does it have mobile functions in it.i mean like how we use our mobile phones. and most important of all.can i put my sim card in it .after all it's called a MOBILE pc so i think it should have some features supporting mobile phone communication instead of putting a stop to it.

A: no... it is a ultra mobile pc, which is a new typw of computer designed to carry anywhere and more "mobile" than a laptop, you cant put a sim card as it is not a phone, its a super computer, id take the offer, but if you only care about phones, thn get a smartphone.

Q: how do I put videos on my samsung yp-q1?
I've tried converting the video I want to wmv format because when I got the thing it came with a video clip in wmv format. It didn't work when I put it on, and said the file type can't be supported. Please help!! also, how do you update the firmware, and put more games on it?

A: I looked around for an answer to this question as I was asking myself the same one! I think I've finally found an answer! Try opening the software included with the mp3: Emodio. If you lost the disk, you can't download it from the internet. Once you're opened Emodio and connected your mp3, go into "My PC" and choose the little video tab button. Then click on "Menu" and and "Import" to list all the videos you want to put on your mp3. Once you've done this, you can drag the videos into the right spot of the screen to download it onto your mp3. The video does NOT have to be compatible when you first drag it! At least not for me...A window actually popped-up offering me to download the right codex to convert the file automatically! :D So basically, all you have to do is drag and let the program convert it for you :) Tell me if it works!

Q: I have a UMPC Samsung Q1 Ultra. The UMPC input panel has some features disabled. Help!?
The input panel no longer has the writing pad. It says "the character pad is not available in the input language you have selected", However, it is in english! The speech is also disabled. I havent messed in the control panel, so i cant figure it out. Can someone tell me how to reactivate these functions? im not an administrator, and these functions worked a month ago.

A: Perhaps the startup item was disabled. Perhaps it was uninstalled. Try searching on Samsung's support site for an updated driver.

A: 80GB hard drive is tiny these days, if you like a lot of space, go 160GB minimum.
