Q: Sony Bravia?
My friends bought a new Sony Bravia...everything seems to be fine, except we noticed that while watching a tennis game the other day, everytime the player would hit the ball...the ball would leave a small trace. Also, the white lines in the court were kind of shaky. Any explanations?

A: That's called motion blur. Check the "noise reduction" setting. If it is set to "high" it may cause motion blur. To check this, on the remote press "menu", then select "settings" . The "noise reduction" option is on the bottom of the settings menu. I suggest using "low". This is what I use on my Bravia and I have no problem. The following is a great site for help with fine tuning the Bravia. http://www.dvdtimes.co.uk/content.php?contentid=61818 Please note that for this web site you may need to hit "refresh" if it gives you "site not found". Refresh brings it up. Hope this solves the problem!

Q: How do I turn off the SAP on my Sony Bravia?
Hi there. I have a Sony Bravia and cannot figure out how to turn off the SAP. I have tried going into the settings and the language is set to English. I have tried searching online and cannont find anything. I remember on my parent's old Sony TV there was a SAP button. But not on this remote. Shows that automatically offer it start broadcasting in Spanish. Does anyone know how to turn it off? Where do I go (in the settings) to change the option?

A: Find out where the "audio settings" menu is. Make sure the audio settings is set to "Stereo", instead of SAP.

Q: How do you hook up a sony bravia to a PC?
I have a sony bravia, and an inspiron 9300 laptop. I am wondering if there is anyway that I could hook up the two via USB to USB, but if not, could you give me some information on what I could use?

A: You can't use USB, but you should be able to use a monitor cable, which is VGA, the plug with three rows of pins blue socket.

Q: How can I find the remote codes for the Sony Bravia AV System?
I just bought the sony bravia ht-ss2300 surround sound system and want to program my tivo remote to control the volume. I can't find the correct code to make it work. Please help!

A: Sharp system is better.

Q: What kind of remote control works for all Sony Bravia tv's?
I was trying to buy one online, but no website I found mentioned which remote control would work for Bravia - KLV 46 V 200 A. I couldn't find this model in the websites which had model list showing models and their accessories. So, what I am trying to do is to buy a remote control that will work for my TV (I didn't buy it in the US) no matter what model of Sony Bravia it is.

A: A good after market remote that does everything that the original remote can do is the Miracle Remote. http://www.miracleremote.com/ I sell these in my store and they work great.

Q: What cable do i need to connect my Sony Bravia 32 inch tv to my Dell inspiron laptop?
Hi my partner and i have recently purchased a sony bravia 32 inch tv and i'm looking to connect my dell inspiron laptop 9100 up to it and use it as a monitor, but i'm wondering what cable would i need?? I'm not very pc or tv savvy and any help would be appreciated. I know the tv has a vga connection as does my laptop, if that helps.

A: All you need is a male-to-male VGA cable. Check out your local Best Buy or other computer parts store. Once connected you will have to enable your TV as a second monitor. Go here for a short walk through. http://www.tech-recipes.com/rx/523/windows-xp2000-setting-up-a-multiple-monitor-desktop-setup/ Make sure to drag your intended program over to the second monitor(tv), once you have it setup.

Q: Does anyone know how to get rid of picture distortion in a sony bravia hd tv?
I just purchased a new Sony Bravia 32 inch hd tv,the faces are much wider than should be. Not sure what setting should be to get wide screen viewing.

A: Your Sony has a setting (and a button on the remote) to change how it displays standard def material. Right now, you have it in the stretch mode so it will fill the wider screen. When you have it in that setting, it makes everything fatter on the screen. You need to change it to letter box mode (and read the manual while you are at it).

Q: I have a 46" Sony Bravia and the picture is really grainy and pixalated?
I bought a 46" Sony Bravia and at the store the quality seemed amazing but when I play a DVD with my upscaling dvd player the picture seems to be grainy...no matter what setting that I try..what can I do ?

A: So your picture quality depends on a few things: 1) Your TV 2) Your source material [this case your upscaling DVD player] 3) cables You have a good TV, and the upscaling DVD player probably does 720p or 1080i, which is enough if you only have a 720p set. With 1080p it'd still probably be pretty good. With that in mind, I believe your problem is the cables. Are you using high definition cables? You'll need either component cables or a HDMI cable. If you're using composite (yellow/red/white) or s-video, you're only getting a standard definition picture sent to your TV. If you buy a cable, you don't have to get the super expensive ones, just check them out at some place like www.monoprice.com. You can get them for considerably cheaper there, and the quality is almost the same. With expensive in-store cables, more than 50% of the price is the markup. So those $100 cables you see get sold to employees for like $20.

Q: How do I get sound to my Sony Bravia LCD from my new MacBook?
I connected my new MacBook to my 32" Sony Bravia LCD (KDL-32S2010). I was successfull in getting the picture to work, however, I am not getting sound. I connected the two using a mini display to dvi adapter, then dvi to hdmi. Any suggestions?

A: Good to see you are using a DVI-to-HDMI cable! That's the absolute best way to transmit video from your Macbook to the Bravia. To get audio from your Macbook to the Bravia, you will need a Stereo-Mini-to-Stereo-RCA cable, like this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16882123073 The Stereo-mini end you plug into your Macbook's Headphone jack, and the dual stereo RCA ends you plug into the red and white RCA jacks on your Bravia next to the HDMI port. Hope this helps!

Q: Honestly is it worth buying a blu-ray player for a 32 inch sony bravia?
For a 32 inch sony bravia 720p is it worth spending the cash for the quality? Or should i just stick with my sd dvd player? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks. Ya i have the money to spend on it i just want to know if the quality will be worth it. I dont want to be wasting money so im asking for advice. If not id rather spend the money on something else.

A: No.IF you want a slightly better picture ,depending on the movie get an up converting dvd player.Up convert to 720p or 1080i or the new ones will go 1080p.

Q: How do I hook up Apple TV to a Sony Bravia HDTV?
Can anyone tell me how to connect Apple TV to a Sony Bravia? I'm getting a "no signal" message. I am using component A/V cables rather than an HDMI connection, and I have checked to be sure everything is plugged in correctly. The light is glowing white. I wonder if the problem might be with choosing the correct video input on the Bravia. I have options for DVD, Blu-Ray, etc., but nothing for the Apple TV. Any help is much appreciated!

A: Hi!Maybe you need a Apple tv converter http://www.macsoftreviews.com/reviews-dvd-to-apple-tv-suite.html

Q: Why is picture on my Sony Bravia so bad?
Bought a Sony Bravia Full HD TV. It's 42 inch. When I hook it up to my sky digital, the picture is terrible. It's very pixily and watching football is really annoying because every time the camera moves the picture just become a blur. I still watch my 32 inch crt most of the time. Is there a fix? Do I have to have a hd signal?

A: What you have described is what you will get when watching sports on a standard 50 Hz (60 Hz US) LCD TV. HD signals certainly will help produce sharper, more detailed pictures without motion but full motion like football is stll going to be blurry and shaky. A more expensive 100 Hz (120 Hz US) LCD HDTV will help. A plasma HDTV is the absolute best for watching sports.

Q: How do I get rid of HDTV gaming lag on a sony bravia 1080p hdtv?
I am getting an xbox 360 soon and i am going to be playing it on an hdtv sony bravia. I want to be able to play guitar hero without any lag or calibration. Im asking on advice for hdmi cables, game modes, facts, anything to help me before i get the 360.

A: Don't use HD, if you don't want lag.

Q: what is a great way to tell a diffrence with motion on motionflow on my sony bravia x?
i have a sony bravia with motionflow but cant tell a diffrence on most things i watch. can someone tell me the best way to see a diffrence on motionflow on the standard setting.

A: MotionFlow was designed to help reduce judder. Judder is most commonly seen on film sources when panning from left to right. I cant give you an example right off the top of my head, but most films will have left-to-right pans at some point, and thats what you need to pay attention to. Personally I do not like the MotionFlow effect, as it introduces false information into the picture in the name of helping to smooth camera pans. I prefer as close-to-source as possible.

Q: What do you think about the Sony Bravia LCD TV range?
In particular the W series? Im thinking of buying the Sony Bravia KLD -40W2000. I read amazing reviews on it but after having gone to see it in a shop, some of the assistants told me it was overrated, and overly-priced. I looked pretty good though. If you have considered this tv yourself or even have one please let me know what you think. I need a final push before making this investment. Thanks.

A: Frankly I have learned not to pay much attention to the people in the store, they are usually not qualified to help you purchase batteries for your remote control let alone give you a recommendation on your TV. I took a quick look around and this model seems to be getting really good reviews, so I would say go for it.
