Q: what is the cheapest store that i could find a sony cyber shot digital camera?
i found one sony cyber shot for only $79.87 at walmart but its only at "limited walmarts" so i dont know where i would find that one. also if i didnt have enough for the cyber shot i was planning on getting a kodak or polaroid.
A: i suggest you try calling your surrounding walmarts near you ahead of time to track it down. if that doesn't work, start looking around at kmart and other retail stores. sometimes you might be able to catch a bargain online through best buy or circuit city but i doubt it.

I have a sony cyber shot dsc w120, its a fun camera, but im having trouble shooting pictures where the subject is moving fast. Does anyone have this camera? whats a good setting for sports pictures, and / or low light? I mainly want to use it for taking pictures of horses indoor, but the pics are always blurry! any suggestions, thanks!
A: You have to set you camera to a shutter speed of at least 1/250th second and pan with the action. You may have to increase the ISO on the camera and shoot at the lenses fastest aperture. Perhaps the largest issue will be the shutter lag all P&S cameras have to one extent or another.

A: The flash setting is usually controlled by a button or an option under the menu that is designated by a small lightning bolt icon. Look around the back of the camera and any knobs or switches for this small lightening bolt. If you dont find it there check the menu. Once you find how to change the setting, there is usually an option that says "no flash" "flash off" or a circle with a line through it.

A: There are some Sony Cyber-shot cameras with the selective color effect (applied after a picture is taken), but not all of them have it. Check your manual or let us know what model you have to find out.
Also, as implied, the Canon PowerShot S3 IS is not the only digital camera with in-camera selective coloring. Canon's "Color Accent" effect is prevalent in its PowerShot series.

A: I found the manual tricky to find on sony's own website .. not too intuitive.
It's on page 48 (the pictures help)
But basically -
1.press the MENU button
2. From here press > (on the round control button) when you're over top of the Setup icon
3. There should be a Clock Set option in one of these menus (scroll up and down til you get it) Press the round button in the middle of the control button to select it.

A: Hi Frosted. Digital cameras are built for one thing and web cams for another. I have not heard it possible to make a digital camera into a web cam. For one thing when you turn the camera onto yourself, you can either take a still shot or a video movie. The picture will have to go into the camera and onto a card... from there... into the computer, so live video DIRECTLY from a digital camera is not possible... it has to be routed through the card and that stops the live stream. Hope that helps.
Q: Would you recommend the Sony Cyber-Shot T70 Digital Camera?
I have been looking for a new camera recently, and I find the ones with touch screens really good. The one I have seen that I really like is the Sony Cyber-Shot T70. It has an 8.1 mega pixel camera, a Carl Zeiss Lens and 3x optical zoom.
Would you recommend it, or is there anything better.
I only have around £150 to spend, and I would really like a touch screen camera.

Q: Why does my Sony Cyber-Shot digital camera say "Insert Memory Stick" when I try to take a picture?
I have a Sony Cyber-shot, 8.1 Mega Pixel digital camera and when I try to use it, it says "Insert Memory Stick." My memory stick is in. Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks!
A: Try a different memory stick also look inside where you put the stick and make sure the pins are not damaged. Hope it is the memory stick because the other will cost about as much as the camera to fix.

A: almost all cameras i bought came with a small sized memory card.. held about 20ish pictures. i bought 5 cameras. 1 Casio Exilim EX-M2, 1 Sony T1 and 3 Canons SD400 SD1000 SD900.
when you buy the camera.. my suggestion is to buy a larger memory stick, 1GB is good but the more the better.. hate to run out of space during the most important moment. Also to charge the battery day before. out of the box, battery is most likely to be half gone.
Cyber-Shots are pretty good, but i myself like the Canon better.

A: Look for the icon that kinda looks like a circle with a clock hand in the middle of it. This will enable the feature. Then click the shutter and you'll hear a tone and about 5-10 seconds later it takes the picture.

I got a new Sony Cyber shot S500 today, and made a mini film, and the sound doesn't play on the camera (I think I see a speaker on the side), but when I hook it up to my TV the sound works great. I am trying to transfer pictures from my computer to a memory stick. My memory stick is inside my cyber-shot camera. Can this be done or do I need another piece of equipment that will accept the pictures from my computer onto my memory stick?
A: Cybershot comes with an adapter for the sony memory stick (the stick is an odd size) so that it can be read by a card reader in your computer. If you don't have a card reader, you can get one for less than ten dollars. Attach it to your computer through USB port. Then copying through windows explorer should be easy (drag and drop).
